The Tello drone programming course will teach students how to control basic drone operations such as takeoff, landing, rotation, and flips using simple programming language. The course will introduce graphical programming tools, allowing students to design commands to control flight paths and movements. Additionally, students will learn how to utilize the built-in AI technology in Tello drones for functions like image recognition and automatic obstacle avoidance, and explore swarm technology for coordinated multi-drone flight. The course will also cover drone regulations and safety knowledge, guiding students to operate drones legally and safely. Through hands-on practice, students will enhance their innovation skills, problem-solving abilities, and explore drone applications in modern technology.
Course Content
The course will guide students in comprehensively understanding drone fundamentals and operations, including quadcopter structure, remote control pairing, battery maintenance, and flight principles. Students will learn relevant regulations, safety knowledge, and how to operate drones legally and safely. The course will use tools like Scratch visual programming or Swift Playground to guide students in writing programs to control drones, achieving basic flight, photography, and programming tasks. Furthermore, students will explore the Tello Talent drone’s external modules, learning how to use AI technology for environmental perception, object recognition, and gesture control. The course will include swarm technology, teaching students how to connect multiple drones to a central control system for coordinated flight performances. Finally, students will participate in drone flight competitions, facing obstacle challenges to develop their operational and problem-solving skills.
